Guidelines for Summary Report
We would like to request that a final program report be prepared and submitted to us electronically by the coordinators for your program. If your program held a conference, a final workshop/conference report is requested as well, although these may be combined. Please summarize briefly what you consider to have been the most important accomplishments of the program and conference (workshops, seminars, collaborations and conferences), and in particular, highlight breakthroughs achieved in the topic/field, expressed in lay terms suitable for a general, educated audience. Bullet points are fine.
Typically, each report is of the order of 2-4 typed pages in length and contains:
- The goals of the program/workshop/conference
- The specific projects studied, including new collaborations formed
- A review of efforts at promoting diversity and participants from groups underrepresented in physics
- A general discussion of the success of the program/workshop/conference and planning issues that could improve future programs or assist future coordinators
- A list of participants and periods of residence
- A list of manuscripts completed or in progress
- A list of a pedagogical and technical lectures
You will find a sample final report on the coordinators' website. Copies of participant/affiliate activity reports are available on your program data site (password protected). Please submit your reports (via email) to reports. When you submit your final reports, we will attach items 5-7 for your convenience. We like to receive all reports within two months of a program’s end date.
