The purpose of the KITP Director’s Council is to advance
the research mission of the Institute
through development and advisory
activities. Priorities for
members, drawn from the worlds of business, communications, law, technology and science, also include advising the KITP Director on programs,
strategy and issues relating to community affairs as they impact the life of the institute, and overseeing the Friends of KITP. The Council works closely with scientists to ensure the excitement of discovery is shared with the community in a variety of venues and activities.
